Match Report: Yorkshire Post: 22nd March 1920:

LEEDS UNITED RESERVES v GOOLE TOWN

A Reserve XI defeated Goole Town in a friendly at Elland Road in front of 1,000 spectators

N.B. On the same day as Leeds United visited Rotherham County Reserves in the Midland League encounter, they raised a reserve team, included several local trialists, for a friendly against Goole Chevrons at Elland Road. The Newspapers of the day recorded the fixture as such, however there is no evidence to sustain that Goole Town had yet come into existence by then nor Goole Shipyards. It is thought to have been Goole Chevrons. Leeds United Reserves won the game by 2-0.
